Training sessions
The Aquanauts club is divided into squads according to experience and ability. Swimmers within the club are encouraged to progress through the squads and to take part in galas appropriate to their age and ability.

​Swimmers train in a variety of locations across Livingston and West Calder, times are dependent on squads.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TIMES AND DAYS NOTED ON THIS PAGE REFER TO THE REGULAR SCHEDULE BEFORE THE COVID CHANGES TOOK EFFECT.  THE CLUB IS ADHERING TO CURRENT GOVERNMENT GUIDANCE - PLEASE REFER TO EMAILS FROM YOUR SQUAD ADMIN FOR THE LATEST TRAINING UPDATES AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT MATTHEW WHO WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP.

​Times and Locations

White Fins

Swimmers in White Fins train up to 2 sessions (up to 1.75 hours) per week:
Tuesdays at James Young High School
6.15pm to 7pm or 7pm to 7.45pm
Fridays at Inveralmond Community High School
5.30pm to 6.30pm or 6.30pm to 7.30pm 

White Fins Squad Administrator: Louise Kerr

Gold Fins

Swimmers in Gold Fins train up to 4 sessions (up to 7 hours) per week plus land training (1 hour):
Mondays at Inveralmond Community High School
5.30pm to 7.30pm
Tuesdays at James Young High School
(land training 6.45pm to 7.45pm), 7.45pm to 9.15pm​
Wednesdays at West Calder High School
7pm to 8.30pm
Sundays at West Calder High School
10am to 12noon​

Adult Improvers

Adult Improvers offers lessons for adults who have basic swimming ability but would like to improve their technique in different strokes. 
Adult Improvers can migrate into Masters as and when their technique, stamina and fitness levels are appropriate.
Sundays at West Calder High School
10am to 11am


Silver Fins

Swimmers in Silver Fins train up to 3 sessions (up to 5 hours) per week:
Tuesdays at James Young High School
6.15 pm to 7.45pm
Wednesdays at West Calder High School​
7pm to 8.30pm
Fridays at Inveralmond Community High School
5.30pm to 7.30pm​

Junior Masters

Swimmers in Junior Masters may train 1 session for fitness or up to 3 sessions (up to 5.5 hours) per week plus land training (1 hour):
Mondays at Inveralmond Community High School
5.30pm to 7.30pm
Tuesdays at James Young High School
(land training 6.45pm to 7.45pm), 
7.45pm to 9.15pm
Sundays at West Calder High School

Junior Masters Squad Administrator: Debbie Gallacher

Masters

Masters offers a pathway for adults within the club. Masters are mostly self-guided at training sessions and work collaboratively to complete sets appropriate to their skills and fitness level.
